I have always been a devoted reader ever since I learned to read. I read mainly novels, but actually the few books that moved me most were actually non-fictions. No matter, I envy authors who can weave the complexity of human lives into stories and I envy authors who can translate their feelings into human readable forms. The glory and fame of publishing authors lure me of course, but for some other reasons, I have always dream of writing stories myself. In our college years, we had a little room whether our class gathered between classes or after class. We kept a journal for our classmates to write anything they want to say. No need to say, I was one of few who wrote the most. I wonder where that journal went and wish I could read it again. It must be embarrassing. We have now graduated for nearly 30 years. We still communicate through facebook, but you know how facebook is. People just update statuses and post their vacation pictures. I long for a place to say a little more about their life and thoughts. Not exactly a blog, but I guess it's close. Maybe I meant for it to be more for the book lovers and people who dream of writing their own books. People always tell you that the only way to become better at writing your thoughts is to keep on writing, so here is my introductory post. My daughter told me today that she has a funny poem that she will post, so stay tuned. She likes writing and is doing well. I encourage her to pursue a writing career. I want the Scribbles section to be a safe place for kids to post their writings as well. I've had this writing dream for so long, now it's time to make it come true.
